These are essential life skills which will assist you on a daily basis! |

Have your child start in ‘focus stance' with their hands in chamber
|
|
You try to tap them on the head with either your right or left hand and they have to block it first!
Have fun with it and try to trick them!
The better they get, the faster you can go!

Start with your child in focus stance again
with their arms in chamber position.
When you lift up your hand they have
to try to punch it as fast as possible.
Alternate hands to try and trick them! |

DRILL # 3 This time you put them both together!
If you try to tap their head they have to block!
If you raise up your hand, they have to try and punch it as fast as possible!

When your child is doing these drills, be sure to use plenty of encouragement! These activities are meant to be done as a pair, and therefore you may spend time exercising with your child! |

These fun exercises may be integrated into any fitness routine. Use them as a warm up for any sporting activity, simply substitute the blocks and punches for a movement from the sport you are about to play!
